Hi there!

My name is Patrik Carlvik and I'm the owner and solo worker at Smedja Aspen.

I've been fascinated with forging and tool making ever since young age and when we bought our house in 2015 I got access to a old car repair shop that the guy living here before us had built. Then I felt that I had to start doing something creative now that the chance had presented itself.

So me and my brother built this awful little brick forge one afternoon and when I tried forging hot metal for the first time that evening I felt that this is what I'm meant to do.

So here I am, trying my best to provide functional yet beautiful pieces for the kitchen, work site or the outdoors.
